DUCK

A small fishing village of Duck, thus named for the abundance of waterfowl nesting on its
shores, remained mainly undeveloped until the late 1970s when it was a well-guarded secret of
the adventurous kind who explored its pristine beaches and sought its overwhelming landscapes
  and out-of-this-world sunsets.

Today, the town of Duck (with a permanent population of over 500) is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country and a thriving year-round community, with some of the finest dining, shopping and recreation: a variety of water sports both on the ocean and the sound, tennis and golf. With commercial development still somewhat limited and miles of protected wilderness, Duck has retained its unique character and quaint charm that appeals to primary residents and second-home owners, investors and visitors. Four Seasons, Sanderling, Tuckahoe, Duck Landing and Ocean Crest are among the most upscale of communities, home to some of the most unique custom-built luxury properties.
